How to Manage & Publish OMR Results

After scanning OMR sheets, review the results, apply any corrections, and publish them to students.


Reviewing Results

  1. Go to Exams → OMR → Results
  2. Select the exam
  3. View the result table:

Detailed Answer Review

  1. Click any student row to see their detailed results
  2. View:
    • Scanned image overlay — The original scan with detected marks highlighted
    • Detected vs. Expected — Side-by-side comparison for each question
    • Confidence per question — How confident the OCR was for each detection
  3. Manually correct any misdetections by clicking the answer bubble

Rating System

Course37 automatically generates a performance rating for each student based on multiple factors:

The combined rating gives a more holistic view of student performance than raw scores alone.


Applying Corrections

If you need to adjust results:

  1. Individual correction — Click a student and edit their detected answers
  2. Grace marks — Apply bonus marks (see Grace Marks)
  3. Re-scan — If a sheet was poorly scanned, re-scan and re-upload just that sheet

Publishing Results

  1. After reviewing, click Publish Results
  2. Students are notified via:
    • Push notification (mobile app)
    • Email
    • In-app notification
  3. Published results include:
    • Score & Percentage
    • Merit Position
    • Rating
    • Per-question analysis (correct/wrong/skipped)
